Sometimes I wish...

Did you ever entertain this idea? Sometimes I wish.... that I had finished college to earn my degree, that I had treated my son differently so that he would know "unconditionally" how very much I love him. I feel a deeper connection with him as an adult as opposed to an adolescent. But, I loved him then as much as I love him now! Sometimes, I wish that life wasn't so difficult. Sometimes, I wish that I wasn't so sad about MY life. That I wasn't ... just so... well anyhow, there's life.

I know exactly what you are saying. I have so many regrets about how I've lived my life. But I guess we don't get any "do overs". All we can do is take the new day and try to do our best with it.

To prevent guilt, I have made sure to apply a "lesson learned" to each regret. Just possibly, a lesson from a past regret may have prevented something far worse.

Penny,
I just wanted to stop by to say hi. We all have regrets, but you are not the same as you were when you were younger. Go back to school and finish that degree. Tell your son how much you love him, it is never to late. This journey of life we are on together is not easy at times that is for sure. As long as we are alive there is always hope and we can make a difference. I can tell what a sweet person you are because you care and that is what is most important. ~Cathy~
